Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Both the Pro and Team plans are month-to-month with no long-term contracts. You can cancel from your account dashboard at any time and your access continues through the end of the billing period.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The free tier requires only an email address. You will only be asked for payment information if you choose to upgrade to Pro or Team.
What jurisdictions are covered?
Permit Guide currently covers 190+ jurisdictions across Wisconsin, including every county and the 50 largest municipalities. Illinois, Minnesota, and Michigan coverage is coming in 2026.
How often is permit data updated?
Our scrapers check official government sources continuously. Data is verified against source records on a quarterly cycle, with fee schedules and requirement changes reflected within 48 hours of publication by the issuing municipality.
Can I switch plans?
Yes. You can upgrade from Free to Pro or Team at any time, and the change takes effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. If you switch from Team to Pro, API access and additional team members will be removed at cycle end.
